NUTrition

Being steadfastly conscious of the things you’re putting in your body at all times may seem a little crazy to some. But think about it. You’ve all heard the saying “treat your body like a temple”. That doesn’t mean to only drink water and eat broccoli 24/7, but it does mean that you should be aware of the things that you eat and drink and their effect on your body. The one thing that everyone on this earth has to take care of is their body. If you are given no other responsibilities for the rest of your life, the single thing that you are left to maintain is simply put, you.
Like I said, you don’t have to put yourself on a strict diet, but start out slowly by making simple swaps. Things such as: Using whole wheat bread as opposed to the starchy, sugar-laden likes of the famous white Wonder bread. Grabbing a fresh-squeezed OJ instead of an orange soda like Sunkist, packed with 88 grams of sugar (the equivalent of 17 Chips Ahoy cookies!). Snagging a handful of trail mix or biting into an apple rather than a brown sugar cinnamon Pop-tart which has more sugar than a Snickers bar. Start with changes like these and many many more which I’ll post, and you’ll be looking and feeling better about the person in the mirror in no time.

Another post regarding Paleo, Zone, and the CrossFit prescription for nutrition will be up soon!
